Fall Group Lessons Beginning Soon!

Do you need a boost working for auditions for HS or College? Have you been thinking about voice lessons, but are nervous about working with a teacher one on one? Do you love to sing, and want to become a better all around vocalist? My Group Voice Lessons are the place for you.  Work in small groups of similarly-aged students on developing great vocal skills in a friendly supportive environment. Group lesson sessions are eight weeks long with a recital at the end of the session. Each week come and meet with your teacher (me) for a 1 hour session. This is no ordinary group voice lesson. Each session will include your vocal production technic work as well as work, sight-reading skill development using solfege, and other vital music reading skills.  Open to students ages 12+ Students can expect to gain confidence as a musician and have a blast along the way! Groups will be filled on a first come first serve basis.  Registration and Supply Fee due by September 1s

About the Walstad Voice Studio

I am a classically trained vocal teacher based in the Ranches of Eagle Mountain, Utah. I graduated with a degree in Vocal Performance from BYU in 2010. My training there emphasized the pedagogy of teaching voice as well as my own skill development. Since then I have worked at a local music academy teaching private lessons, as well as maintaining a small home studio.   My students focused in the areas of musical theater and classical singing have placed at regional competitions. I also have an extensive Jazz background.     As a teacher I believe it is important to build a great foundation for singing at a young age. I emphasize flow phonation, even-scale, resonance, and proper breathing techniques with even my youngest students. I work with students with all kinds of musical aspirations from auditioning into an advanced choirs, musicals, operas, colleges and competing in local/regional competitions, to wanting to be more confident in the singing voice.
